Star Jones has finally apologized for how she handled her exit from “The View” a few years back. Star, who was reticent to come clean about her gastric bypass surgery, admitted that she put her co-stars in an awkward position when she started dropping weight and attributing her success to strict diet and exercise.

“I’m so sorry that I placed a burden on my colleagues. I never asked them to lie and don’t know where the Pilates and portion control” — an explanation for her weight-loss that made the rounds at the time — “came from. I think a tabloid actually wrote that.”

Jones, who shed a whopping 160 pounds after the 2003 surgery, has always been reluctant to discuss her weight, saying the prospect of talking about her body on national television “scared me a bit.”

Pressed by Winfrey about what scared her, Jones responds, “Disappointing people. I was ashamed … That’s the word that is actually the real word. I was ashamed that I couldn’t control my weight, that I was an addict for all practical purposes, that I had never stuck to a real diet, that I’d never stuck to a real exercise program.”

Losing the weight may have drastically changed Jones‘ appearance, but she reveals that on some days, she still feels obese on the inside.

If Star wasn’t such an egomaniac, I would probably feel bad for her. At the very least, I sympathize and wish we didn’t put so damned much emphasis on being scary-skinny in this country. Perhaps then Jones wouldn’t have felt the need to lie.

Katy Perry is trying to make nice with Lily Allen. After referring to herself as a “skinnier version” of the British singer, Katy had to do some back peddling to avoid an all out pop-starlet cat fight.

Katy told Heat magazine: “I really didn’t mean to upset her. What I actually said was that I was a skinnier version of Lily Allen and a fatter version of Amy Winehouse. But Lily is skinny now. She is hot - she looks really good.”

Despite feeling confident about her body now, Katy admits she was given the less-than-flattering nickname of ‘Nip-Slip’ when she was younger.

She explained: “It comes from when I didn’t have boobs, or much of them.”

Lily was so infuriated by Katy’s remarks, she previously threatened to post the singer’s telephone number on the internet. She branded the ‘I Kissed A Girl‘ star “crass” and claimed they were “nothing alike because you’re not English and you don’t write your own songs”. [Source]

Let’s hope that Katy’s apology doesn’t fall on deaf ears. Lily Allen strikes me as the type to hold a grudge.

Jennifer Love-Hewitt is back in action and has found herself a new boyf. Funnyman Jamie Kennedy is all about Love’s love handles and is apparently telling her to eat whatever the heck she wants and stop worrying about her weight all the time.

Jennifer, who split from fiancé Ross McCall in December, has previously blasted criticism of her supposedly too-curvy-for-Hollywood bod.

“She’s had weight issues too for years and was self-conscious to the point that it affected her relationships with men,” an insider tells Star. “Jamie prefers women who have a bit of meat on their bones. He makes her feel comfortable in her skin.”

On March 13, days after Star broke the news that the Ghost Whisperer costars were dating, Jamie confirmed the love affair on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show and raved, “It’s like ‘Wow, you are so hot…and wow, you can cook pasta fagioli too!’” [Source]

Let’s put the “Bulky Spears” nonsense to rest right now. Here are some pics of Britney Spears looking pretty damned good (despite the pasties) at her show in Washington, DC the other night. I see no jelly belly, no bulging love handles, and no sagging butt. Britney is back and ya’ll better recognize.

Oh my God, are people really this stupid? Show of hands: who thought that Beyonce Knowles’ insane Thierry Mugler get up from a few weeks back was more than just a whole lot of chicken wire and sequins? Apparently, a few folks saw the pics of Beyonce and thought she had actually gained weight. Her rep is taking the reigns and clarifying for Miss. B:

Beyonce’s rep is firing back at critics who have said the singer, 27, has packed on pounds.

After Beyonce was photographed in NYC March 8 for her I…Am tour in a Thierry Mugler couture dress, online commenters blasted her curves (”Why does she look so deformed?” one quipped).

But her rep tells Usmagazine.com the dress — which was originally designed for Jerry Hall — is to blame.

“This is not a weight-gain issue,” her rep tells Us. “Beyonce is in the best shape of her life. The exaggerated hips are a design element of a truly couture dress. Beyonce has always loved this dress.” [Source]

I’m not sure why she’s so hot for the dress: it really isn’t flattering on her and it’s CRAZY. However, (and I totally heart Beyonce, believe that) this wouldn’t be her first nonsense fashion choice.

Based on the above headline, you might suspect that Britney Spears is self-mutilating but that’s not the case. Britney received a scathing body-slam from the good folks across the pond at the Daily Mail and I’m wondering if these people are hankering for an old-fashioned head-shaving nervous breakdown.

In a recent interview with Marc Ecko’s Complex, Kim Kardashian revealed that she’s not as outrageously outgoing and confident as everyone thinks. In fact, the reality star/entrepreneur talked about how much she leans on her family for emotional support and how scary it was for her to show off her body on “Dancing with the Stars.”

The last time we spoke, you said something to me, and I’ll read you the quote: You said, “I’m not the sex kitten that they’ve made me out to be, but I’ll give it to them when I have to. I know that’s what they want.” How does that differ for you when your audience is women and your audience is men?
Kim Kardashian: It doesn’t really; I’m a lot more shy than what people think, and when I was doing Dancing With the Stars, that really became apparent. Heidi Klum claims she doesn’t understand the controversial US dress size zero, saying it “makes no sense”. She doesn’t think size zero exists. The German supermodel has criticized the controversial US dress size - equivalent to a UK dress size 4 or a European size 32. When asked her views about the size zero debate, Heidi said:

“A size zero? I’ve never heard of that. That didn’t exist when I was growing up. When did that start? What does it mean? It means a person is not there, no? It makes no sense.”

The dress size has caused a outcry, with some models who can fit into size zero clothes being branded dangerously underweight. Models with a body mass index of less than 18.5, many of whom were size zero, were also banned from Madrid fashion week in 2006.

Heidi, who raises three children with singer husband Seal, also recently denied she would consider having any plastic surgery. Speaking at a 50th birthday party for children’s toy doll Barbie, 35-year-old Heidi said:

“I hope that when I reach 50 I look as good as Barbie does, but I don’t think I’d go for surgery. I think I’m going to get older with wrinkles - a few of them here and there.”
