Jonathan Rhys Meyers talks about getting fat and enjoying sex scenes

Beautiful Jonathan Rhys Meyers took some time out of his busy schedule to attend a Britney Spears concert the other night and he was even nice enough to sign some autographs for all the “Tudors” fans in attendance. Meyers is enjoying his successful run on the cable drama but admits that he hopes the show ends before delving into Henry VIII’s fat phase.

“I wouldn’t be very good at putting on a lot of weight. When I played Elvis (a young Presley, in the 2005 TV movie “Elvis”), I really had to struggle so I would have Elvis’ puppy fat,” Meyers said. “I had to keep eating.” This season he has been dealing with an injury to his leg, but it has not lowered his libido one bit! “It doesn’t seem to have affected his sexual prowess,” Meyers observed. “Of course, Henry wasn’t as sexed up as the show is. But we’re not selling it to a 16th-century audience.”

So how do all the on-screen sex scenes affect Jonathan’s love life? “Doing the erotic stuff, it is what it is,” Meyers said. “But it’s not really where you get the best of your acting. I have a girlfriend, these girls have boyfriends.

So where’s the respectful line in doing a sex scene if you really want to do a good one?” He recalled being asked by the director in the first season to touch an actress’ breast, and being cautioned by her that she had a boyfriend. “Not anymore,” a cheeky Meyers replied. [Source]

Boyfriend or not, I’d be happy to spend some time acting with Meyers. I’ll have to get my agent on that, ASAP.

Seth Rogen slimmed down for health reasons

Seth Rogen looking skinny

Seth Rogen has slimmed down considerably in preparation for his role in the “Green Hornet.” But the “Pineapple Express” star told the press recently that his weight loss was in the works long before he landed that plum role.

Apparently while he was filming in New Mexico for Observe and Report, that’s when he realized he needed to improve his health.

Seth claims “I’m somebody who can barely breathe in Los Angeles, which is at sea level. I can’t walk up a flight of stairs. Albuquerque is at an elevation of about two miles and the air is very thin. There were some big action scenes. Every day it felt as if I were climbing Everest. So the stunts were really hard, much harder than they should have been. I realized if I was going to make Green Hornet I needed to lose weight.”

But Seth didn’t do it just to look hot. He says, “Aside from how the character is supposed to look, I couldn’t physically make the movie in the shape I was in. It would have literally killed me.” [Source]

Hey, whatever the reason, Seth is looking great and I’m sure he’s feeling better too.

Eva Longoria looking well-rounded

Eva Longoria plump face

Eva Longoria was happily enjoying another day at the office when these photos were snapped yesterday. Little did the “Desperate Housewives” star know that she was tilting her chin at just the right angle for this ridiculous shot.

The “Over Her Dead Body” actress looked a little more full-figured as she headed back to her trailer after she finished filming a scene.

What’s more, Eva was sporting a baggy warm-up jacket and loose fitting shorts, a major departure from her usual figure-hugging ensembles.

Longoria’s larger frame has provided plenty of fodder for pregnancy rumors, with bloggers like Perez Hilton speculating that she finally has a bun in the oven. [Source]

Eva’s face does look pretty plump (to the extent that this photo even looks a bit manipulated) but I don’t see what the big deal is about the rest of her. Her legs look as skinny as ever and the baggy clothes could just mean she’s having a “fat day.” I suppose if she is pregnant, we’ll be hearing about it in the near future.

Tori Spelling denies anorexia rumors

Tori Spelling in white dress

Tori Spelling is steaming mad about the fuss that’s being made over her scary-skinny frame.

“Oh my God, I’m not anorexic - I acknowledge that I look thin in photos, I get it,” she told People magazine.

“Obviously I don’t want to lose any more weight, but people haven’t seen me not pregnant in two and a half years — I’m eating healthy, I just have a crazy lifestyle.”

She’s used this excuse a few too many times. I really don’t care how busy she is. Driving your kids from home to day-care twice a day doesn’t burn THAT many calories.

“I’m so blessed to have as many jobs that I have, but I’m the first to admit that sometimes I don’t have the time to sit down for a well-balanced meal,” she adds. “Usually like you kind of just finish whatever your child doesn’t eat. I’m like, ‘Cool, you have a few pieces of hot dog left and one broccoli floret and a fry, I’ll take it.’

Here’s a suggestion, Tori: instead of picking off your kid’s plate, why not ask whoever is cooking her meals to whip you up a little something of your own?

“I want to be a positive role model for my daughter. The last thing I want to put out there is that it’s acceptable to be too thin or have an eating disorder because you’re in Hollywood.” [Source]

How Tori Spelling expects anyone to believe this hocus-pocus is beyond me. If you really want your kid to grow up healthy and happy, Tori, you’re gonna have to do some growing up yourself real soon.

Kate Moss weight gain is small step for womankind

Kate Moss in green dress

While I would love to believe that Kate Moss’ reported weight gain might forever alter the insane beauty standards to which we all (or at least a few of us) hold ourselves, I’m not quite that delusional. Yet. It is a nice thought, however, and Caitlin Moran wrote an interesting, highly tongue-in-cheek article on the topic for the Times Online in which she stated, among other things, the following:

At the launch of the New York Topshop last week, Moss was smoky-eyed and serene in a clingy, floor-length, emerald green dress, in which you could see a distinct curve to her tum. Not a concave curve, you understand - as seen on skinny Russian teenage models - but a convex one. As if in acknowledgement that a woman’s lower torso has to hold liver, kidneys, pancreas, spleen and a tennis court full of intestines, and clearly cannot do this in something that measures 20ins around.

And yet, despite Moss having the temerity to have a waistline big enough to fit all her innards in, everyone behaved perfectly normally around her. Indeed, not only was she not thrown down a well - but she was allowed in a fashion shop! While people photographed her! As a representative! And acted like it was all OK! In a world where Jessica Simpson’s 1stone weight gain makes CNN, the former EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy is being hounded into total dysmorphia for hitting a size 14, supermodel Kate Moss’s round belly is like Rosa Parkes, finally digging in her heels and sitting up the front of the bus. [Source]

So Kate Moss is aging just like the rest of us and she has developed a spare tire just like the rest of us, which must mean that she is human…just like the rest of us. Hip hip hooray. I think I’ll go eat a pint of ice cream. Oh and by the way, it seems the cookbook rumours were false but more on that later.

Kelly Osbourne gets the unflattering bathing suit treatment from paparazzi

Kelly Osbourne swimming

I kinda of hate myself a little bit for posting these pictures but what can I say? A job’s a job. Poor Kelly Osbourne should really get off her man’s back before she drowns him.

Kelly looks happy and that’s definitely a bonus but she hadn’t seen the pics yet.

Kelly Osbourne jumps

This one is by far the least flattering shot and not just because Kelly’s butt appears to be swallowing Luke’s head.

Marie Osmond discusses weight issues

Marie Osmond at toy show

Marie Osmond has dropped an astonishing 46 pounds since starting the NutriSystem diet two years ago. However, Osmond says she’s still dealing with the pain of past body image issues and struggles to maintain a healthy outlook when it comes to her physique.

“Our society makes women feel that they should have a body of a skinny little boy,” she tells PEOPLE. “We put on five pounds, and we think we’re fat … It’s stupid.”

It’s these very issues Osmond, 49, addresses in her new book, Might As Well Laugh About It Now, which also deals with life’s other struggles.

Osmond felt the pressure to be thin at an early age. As a pre-teen, she remembers being called “the fat sister.” While hosting Donny & Marie in the late ’70s, Osmond, then a petite 5′5″ and 110 pounds, was told she needed to reduce. “The producers said I was an embarrassment and the show was going to be cancelled if I didn’t keep food out of my fat mouth. And so, I got down to 93 pounds. I was a lollipop head.” [Source]

Osmond is definitely no lollipop head now, although she does seem like a bubble-head sometimes. If she keeps up the dieting, she’ll be on her way to becoming a member of the 50+ Hotness Club in no time.

Stevie Nicks has lost it

Stevie Nicks at book signing

60-year old rock goddess Stevie Nicks has finally figured out how to shed those pesky pounds she’s been carrying around since the 1980s. Nicks is back on tour with Fleetwood Mac (ya’ gotta love aging rock stars) and she’s slimmed down to a sexy size eight. Stevie sat down with People magazine lately and talked all about the weight loss.

Nicks said that, had that not been the case, “I would have stayed at 125 pounds from 1985 and [later on] probably would have weighed about 130 pounds. That would have been way better than fighting to get back to 130 lbs. from 175 lbs.” Additionally, she’s not feeling pressure to get super skinny: “You don’t have to weigh 105 lbs. Weigh 125 lbs. and stay there.”

So, how did she lose the weight? She credits her Power Plate workouts, saying, “I do it every other day for 13 minutes. You can’t get results faster than that.” [Source]

Stevie has entered the 50+ Hotness Club and good for her. It just goes to show you that youth fades but a healthy attitude will stick with you forever.
