Lindsay Lohan’s drug use burns another bridge

Lindsa Lohan red hair

As if Lindsay Lohan doesn’t already have enough enemies, she’s managed to make a new one out of Stevie Nicks.

After hearing that Lindsay Lohan hopes to turn Nicks‘ life story into a film in which she would play the Fleetwood Mac singer, the Phoenix native isn’t shy about voicing her displeasure.

“Over my dead body,” Nicks tells the New York Times. “She needs to stop doing drugs and get a grip. Then maybe we’ll talk.” [Source]

OK so when Stevie Nicks tell you she doesn’t want to work with you because of your drug problem it’s a safe bet you’ve hit rock bottom. Hope you didn’t suffer too much from the fall, Linds.

Rosario Dawson and others use Power Plates to stay fit

The other day I posted a story about Fleetwood Mac singer, Stevie Nicks who claims to have dropped a ton of weight by using Power Plates. That was the first I’d ever heard of the strange, vibrating exercise contraption that is now taking Hollywood by storm.

Rosario Dawson and Kylie Minogue are fans of the Power Plate, a machine with a vibrating platform that creates a rigorous workout by triggering muscle contractions (between 30-50 times per second) while the user tries to stay balanced during exercise repetitions. “It is a great invention and a convenient, time-efficient workout,” says Minogue about the device, which reportedly helps tone, increase muscle strength as well as improve posture. I don’t know that I would feel comfortable with the muscle contractions but hey, if it works, it works. Let’s just pray these ladies don’t start twitching involuntarily over the next few months.

Stevie Nicks has lost it

60-year old rock goddess Stevie Nicks has finally figured out how to shed those pesky pounds she’s been carrying around since the 1980s. Nicks is back on tour with Fleetwood Mac (ya’ gotta love aging rock stars) and she’s slimmed down to a sexy size eight. Stevie sat down with People magazine lately and talked all about the weight loss.

Nicks said that, had that not been the case, “I would have stayed at 125 pounds from 1985 and [later on] probably would have weighed about 130 pounds. That would have been way better than fighting to get back to 130 lbs. from 175 lbs.” Additionally, she’s not feeling pressure to get super skinny: “You don’t have to weigh 105 lbs. Weigh 125 lbs. and stay there.”

So, how did she lose the weight? She credits her Power Plate workouts, saying, “I do it every other day for 13 minutes. You can’t get results faster than that.” [Source]

Stevie has entered the 50+ Hotness Club and good for her. It just goes to show you that youth fades but a healthy attitude will stick with you forever.
