Mischa Barton is so happy with her body just the way it is she’s decided to show us more of it. She removed some key articles of clothing for a recent Cosmopolitan cover shoot and seems just as shocked as ever that anyone would even care about her physique.
“Surely there are more important issues than if someone has cellulite?” she told Cosmpolitan magazine.
Yes, of course there are, Mischa, and people are talking about those issues in addition to your cellulite. You’re cellulite just happens to be one source of entertainment for some. Mischa’s inability to comprehend her own place in the universe went even deeper in the interview when she mused:
“And I don’t understand the point of people looking for bad things. Why bother? I know it’s human nature to want to pick on other people, but I find it a little shallow.”
It is shallow, you’re right. And if you’re so concerned about shallowness and lack of sensitivity, you might want to consider getting your skinny naked ass off the cover of Cosmo and taking a bus right out of Hollywood.
Despite her views the 23-year-old has recently shed a lot of pounds, going from a size 12 to a size 6-8 in six months, sparking rumours of health issues and accusations that she was now too thin.
But she professes to being confident about her body and at ease with her image.
“It’s human nature to be self-critical, but it’s possible to like the way you look,” she continued.
“I’m happy now – I wouldn’t change my body and I couldn’t anyway. The only way to be happy and be a more enjoyable person to be around is to embrace what you’ve got. Everyone has issues about their body, but I feel confident now. [Source]
Well, at least someone does. Lord knows there will be plenty of thirteen-year old girls feeling pretty bad about their bodies when they pick up the May issue of Cosmo. But who cares about them, really? They’re just normal people.
