Here are some new pictures of Kelly Clarkson, taken at MOTO 9, Motorola’s 9th Anniversary Party on November 8.
Has she gained more weight, or are these photos just taken from a bad angle?
I just watched Kelly Clarkson’s latest music video “Don’t Waste Your Time” and I couldn’t help but notice how slim she looks.
I don’t know how much video editing they did, but it seems to be a lot. I’m just puzzled why they try to make her look thinner in every photoshoot and music video, can’t they just accept the way she looks?

Kelly Clarkson is on the cover of the August 2007 issue of Blender Magazine. I have no idea how much Photoshop was involved, but the pictures look great.
The interview is also pretty interesting. Among other things, she says she’s afraid of… mouth herpes.
On what she does in her free time: “You know, I never go out. If I’m in L.A., I’m usually at my house playing Guitar Hero.”
On her lying music label, BMG: “Everyone keeps saying how hard this record because be because of all the crap surrounding it, but that last one was really hard to make. I literally got told to my face that it wouldn’t sell more than 600,000 copies. And I got lied to. One reason I don’t like working with people at the label is that they like. They told me, ‘We really want you to go to Sweden. These people really want to write with you.’ So I flew to Sweden with lyrics I’d written to this track I’d been sent, ‘Since U Been Gone.’ I get there, and the writers are like, ‘Oh, we already have lyrics. We just want you to sing it.’ It was really awkward. It was mean. That’s why there’s no relationship with them. Because I don’t like to be lied to.
On ex-boyfriend David Hodges, former Evanescence keyboardist: “I didn’t even really like the guy. I’m more mad at myself for being so blding. Why would I pick someone like him to date? What’s wrong with me? … It’s fine in the end. Maybe I had to go through that and learn more about myself. Maybe that’s why I don’t date much, either.”
On how many boys she’s made out with: “Four? No, wait. Oh my God, five! I have major trust issues. [laughs] I just don’t make out with people. That’s a waste of my kisses and time. And it’s so personal. It’s like, my face. Plus, I’m afraid of mouth herpes.”
On her face-to-face meeting with music exec Clive Davis: “It was nice. IT was just the two of us, and his dog. I was like, I don’t know you very well, and I am not a bulls******. I get you don’t like the album. You’re 80; you’re not supposed to like my album. I said, ‘Clive, I’m going to make tons of albums. It doesn’t have to be mainstream every time. Then he kept bringing up people he’s worked with. ‘You’re a Whitney! You’re a Mariah!’ ‘First of all, Mariah writes a lot of her stuff. Secondly, I dont’ want a career like either of those singers. That’s why it’s hard for us to make an album. You don’t know me! You don’t know what I like, and you don’t know what my fans like.” [Source]

Wow, this photoshop job deserves an award, the artist probably spent hours retouching Kelly Clarkson’s body for the cover of the July 2007 issue of Elle magazine! (Either that, or he/she just did a simple Cut&Paste job of her head on another body.)
It’s amazing how someone heavy (too bad I don’t have other pictures of Kelly Clarkson on my blog, where she was even bigger) can suddenly look slender when appearing on the cover of a fashion magazine.
Here are some excerpts from the article:
“I have no boobs,” she says, laughing. Nor does she want any. “I go in and out,” she explains pointing to her middle, then her hips. “Greek,” she shrugs. Her personal style is casual. “I never try on clothes. I am all about sneakers and T-shirts.”
“I’ve sold more than 15 million records worldwide, and still nobody listens to what I have to say,” Clarkson groans, incredulous. “Because I’m 25 and a woman.”
“My thing is hanging out,” she says, tugging up her stretch slacks, simple black pants she confesses to wearing “every single day.” Her hairstylist runs a mascara wand down her hair, coating stray blond strands. Clarkson removes her bra, junior-high style, and slides it out from her shirt, handing it to Ashley to stow in her handbag.
“Making this album was really hard,” she says, removing the dress and settling into a chair in a white bathrobe. “I remember having this horrible day, and a friend sent me this link to a website with all my private information on it—my phone numbers, my addresses, my bank card numbers. I read it and I was in this tiny little bathroom in this rented house and I was sobbing. It felt like I had nothing for me. I bawled. I felt naked.”

Studio and label reps think that Kelly Clarkson should lose weight. A source close to the singer says that Kelly is starting to cave in on her weight “issue” and is trying to lose 25 pounds. She has become depressed over her size and wants to shape up before her summer tour.
“She feels pressure from her label, her handlers, and her friends to lose weight. She’s always moaning about how she can’t find a boyfriend and she blames this dry spell on her weight.”Additionally, executives at Kelly’s label were not the happiest with the songs she wrote and produced herself. Kelly might feel better about herself if she tackled her body the way she approaches her career with consistent hard work.
“Sometimes she’s in the studio for 14 hours and the only food she eats is fast food, potato chips, and candy bars.” Kelly drinks a lot of soda, and hates working out. Those close to Kelly, say the real problem is her low self-esteem. “The way Kelly looks and feels now, Kelly isn’t going to let a man love her, [which is what she may need] to get off this negative merry-go-round.” [Source]
As you can see from these pictures taken on May 12 at KIIS FM’s 10th Annual Wango Tango event, Kelly Clarkson has already begun losing a little weight. Let’s just hope she’s not going to become the next anorexic celebrity just because of the pressure around her…
