“Katy was there when Rihanna needed her the most and as terrible as the stuff with Chris is, at least one good thing has come of it,” The Sun quotes a source as saying. “Both of them have had man troubles recently so they are enjoying having some girlie time.”

Not quite sure that they were having the same kind of “man troubles” but it’s nice that Katy cares. Perry also shared some wisdom on how to avoid the photogs when you’re hungry for lunch.

In another Katy Perry news, the 24-year-old beauty, who recently stated that Lily Allen’s body is hot, shares an advice to avoid paparazzi. “There are seven thousand other restaurants in L.A. besides the Ivy,” she says. “If you don’t want to be photographed, have your assistant pick up a chopped salad for you.” [Source]

Or you can just stay home and make a sandwich. But I guess that’s not nearly as much fun as having someone else chop up veggies for you.

Katy Perry is trying to make nice with Lily Allen. After referring to herself as a “skinnier version” of the British singer, Katy had to do some back peddling to avoid an all out pop-starlet cat fight.

Katy told Heat magazine: “I really didn’t mean to upset her. What I actually said was that I was a skinnier version of Lily Allen and a fatter version of Amy Winehouse. But Lily is skinny now. She is hot - she looks really good.”

Despite feeling confident about her body now, Katy admits she was given the less-than-flattering nickname of ‘Nip-Slip’ when she was younger.

She explained: “It comes from when I didn’t have boobs, or much of them.”

Lily was so infuriated by Katy’s remarks, she previously threatened to post the singer’s telephone number on the internet. She branded the ‘I Kissed A Girl‘ star “crass” and claimed they were “nothing alike because you’re not English and you don’t write your own songs”. [Source]

Let’s hope that Katy’s apology doesn’t fall on deaf ears. Lily Allen strikes me as the type to hold a grudge.

The singer – who was in the Windy City to perform at the House of Blues – feasted on spicy tuna and Chilean sea bass and chatted up chef Rodelio Aglibot as she partied with her band in the restaurant’s private room. Raw fish, vodka and birthday cake sounds like a bit of a “barf fest” but I guess when you’re young, beautiful and famous like Katy Perry everything is a good idea.

Katy Perry had an amazing year when she burst into the scene with “I Kissed a Girl” and it looks like all those hours dancing on stage have paid off in more ways than one.

Katy looked vivacious, with striking bob, red lipstick, black and blue striped swim-suit and green stilettos. The star has denied rumours she is dating Paris Hilton’s ex Benji Madden after they were spotted getting intimate in a nightclub. She wrote in her blog:
