Amy Winehouse has recently bought a £7,000 Power Plate machine (that’s around $14,066).

The manufacturers of this “miracle” workout machine claim that it provides the same level of calorie-burning as a lengthy workout in the gym, just by requiring its users to stand on a vibrating platform for 15 minutes. It appears Amy got a little obsessed with her Power Plate, using it three times a day – does that mean that she still thinks she needs to lose weight??!

Amy‘s friends and family are reportedly hoping her recent stint in rehab changed her attitude to food and exercise as well as drugs and alcohol, as she has recently been spotted looking thin and gaunt.

One friend said: “Amy was getting scarily obsessed with exercising, and having a Power Plate in her flat didn’t help. She was using it about three times a day – it was getting ridiculous.” [M&C]

Jennifer Esposito (Andrea from ABC’s comedy series “Samantha Who?“) shows off her gorgeous bikini body on the cover of Shape magazine‘s April 2008 issue.

Before becoming an actress, Jennifer was an exercise instructor in Manhattan, so she naturally knows a few things about exercising. Her workout routine includes Pilates and yoga, but she also does “at least 30 minutes on the treadmill and the elliptical, plus some weight training”.

Jennifer keeps her slim figure by eating lots of diets and lean proteins, but she also treats herself to comfort foods like pasta and pizza from time to time.

“I refuse to get obsessive about my diet. I don’t stuff myself, but food is too important a part of my life to not totally enjoy it.

I like to get cozy at home, make pizza and drink wine. I never feel guilty about indulging because I have a good attitude about myself. I come from a family where cooking and enjoying meals is a healthy part of our lives. If I want to have comfort foods every now and then, I do. And if I put on a few pounds, I don’t sweat it.”

That sounds like a really healthy attitude – not denying yourself the food you love, but eating in moderation, and exercising it off. In Jennifer‘s case, it certainly works!

Victoria Beckham is on the cover of Vogue UK magazine‘s April 2008 issue. The photoshoot is very glamorous and, as much as I dislike Posh, I have to say she looks absolutely gorgeous!

The whole article about her is pretty interesting too. Here’s a short snippet concerning Victoria‘s diet and exercise habits (or lack thereof):

She says she eats healthily, and observing her intake during our meetings it’s all steamed vegetables, no fats, fish, edamame beans, fruit… and champagne, but there is a degree of control exercised which one would hardly call normal. She is genuinely fine-boned but is also, one suspects, haunted by being the fatter girl at the Laine Theatre Arts school, where she was never one of the “tall, skinny, gorgeous ones”. “I would never put my health at risk. Obviously working out is important. Well, I don’t. I have joined a gym but I can’t bring myself to start. What do you wear on the running machine? I can’t bring myself to wear flat shoes,” she says, fully aware she’s parodying herself – her common default position when questioned. “Eating disorders are an incredibly serious illness, but you’ve got to be realistic about who you are and what you are. I’d love to look like Linda Evangelista. You know what? I could try for the rest of my life, but I’m never going to look like her.”

Well its not easy because we travel so much so its not easy to always be in working out, I do my best, if I’m traveling I try to run and I do a 30 minute run on the treadmill, and sometimes I take boxing classes, I love to jump rope! Kim Basinger recently revealed her fitness secrets to FitnessRX magazine. The 54-year-old actress kicked up her fitness level last year, in order to prepare for her three new movies (“While She Was Out“, “The Informers” and “The Burning Plain“).

Kim exercises at least 4 times a week, each session lasting about an hour. Her daily workout routine includes 16 different activities, so she’s getting a total body workout:

1. 10 minutes of cardio (bike)
2. Lunges
3. Bicep Curls, 2 sets of 15
4. Bicycle Abs, 2 sets of 25
5. Butt Blaster Machine, 2 sets of 15 (each leg)
6. Repeat Bike for 10 minutes
