Denise Richards’ exit from DWTS is her most graceful moment on the show

Denise Richards leaving Dancing with the Stars

Denise Richards was desperately hoping to win America’s sympathy but it didn’t happen. Despite the convoluted scoring system in place on Dancing with the Stars, poor Denise still couldn’t pull out a win and was voted off the show last night. Here’s what Richards had to say after getting the boot:

Richards told press, “I really didn’t think I was going. I wished I lasted longer. The audience response was so gracious and so great. Everyone was very, very supportive. I’m just so happy for everyone else who gets to continue, and who would’ve thought that Steve and Karina would be in? I’m so happy for them. He loves the show and is having fun.” [Source]

It stinks because she was really looking forward to the intense daily workout. Oh well, maybe Celebrity Apprentice will be next and she can charm Donald Trump with her massive head for business.

Denise Richards gets the Dancing with the Stars makeover

Denise Richards doesn’t look so great on the dance floor - you know it’s true - but she definitely looks amazing coming out of rehearsal for Dancing with the Stars. Richards has always had one incredible body but all that cha-cha-cha-ing is making the divorced mom look even better.

Denise Richards set to compete on Dancing with the Stars

Denise Richards is all set to compete on the new season of “Dancing with the Stars.” The multitasking mom is currently in training for the show while filming her own reality show. It’ll be a weird parallel-universe moment when footage from “Dancing” ends up on “It’s Complicated,” and vice versa. Hopefully, Denise won’t spontaneously combust. She doesn’t seem too worried and is focusing on her moves more than anything else.

Fortunately, she hasn’t been hit by the Dancing curse à la Jewel and Nancy O’Dell. “Knock on wood, I haven’t had any injuries,” she says. “My feet hurt a little bit from being in heels all day, but other than that I feel really great physically.”

Worst thing she says is her never-ending appetite. “We rehearse like six, seven hours a day, and I’m starving,” she says. “I can’t stop eating.”

But the Dancing regime is bound to keep her in killer shape. So any chance that would lead to a second spread in Playboy? “I never say never,” Richards says. “I don’t want to sit here and say, ‘I’ll never do it again’ and then a year from now you see me doing Playboy. But right now, I don’t have any intentions.” [Source]

Denise Richards shares her diet and fitness secrets in Shape magazine

Denise Richards is on the cover of Shape magazine’s May 2008 issue.

Denise, who is a mother of two, says that she exercises “almost every day”, Pilates being her workout of choice.

The workout that got Denise strong and sculpted is all about Pilates. These sessions not only give Denise Richards important time to herself, they’ve also helped her reshape her body-and drop a jeans size!

The mother of two has a history of back and neck pain but she’s finally found a workout that strengthens her body to help prevent those aches. “Pilates is the only exercise that doesn’t aggravate my back,” says the actress. In addition to feeling better, Denise is also happier with the way she looks. “Pilates was the only workout that made my belly flat again after having two kids,” says Richards. “I just love it.” [Shape]

Like most celebrities, Denise Richards says she stays in such a great shape by eating almost everything, but in moderation: “We usually have oatmeal with fruit for breakfast. My favorite afternoon snack is slices of cucumbers and tomatoes sprinkled with a little olive oil and sea salt”.

She claims that she does not obsess over her weight. Her focus is not on her scale weight, but on eating healthy.

“I’m actually more relaxed about my diet since having my kids. I’ll never talk about weight around them. And they’ll never hear me say, ‘Mommy’s feeling fat today.’ That kind of attitude just makes young girls grow up to be dissatisfied with their bodies,” she says.
