Christina Ricci graces the cover of the May issue of French magazine L’Officiel. I don’t know when the photoshoot took place, but she looks lovely in these pictures!

Even though three weeks ago, at the “Speed Racer” premiere, Christina was looking beautiful and radiant, the Daily Mail has posted a recent candid picture of her looking overtanned and very gaunt. Let’s hope she only had a bad day, and that she’ll be back to her beautiful (and healthy) self the next time we see her!

Here’s Christina Ricci at the Tribeca Film Festival 2008 premiere of “Speed Racer” on Saturday (May 3rd) in New York City.

She followed my advice and got a new haircut - the bangs look great on her! She also looks very pretty in that black dress! It seems like she’s finally found a balance, weight-wise - she’s slim, but not too skinny. I think she looks just perfect! What’s your opinion?

Here’s Christina Ricci at the “Speed Racer” UK premiere held at the Empire Leicester Square in London on Tuesday (April 29, 2008).

I think she still looks cute, but she’s in a desperate need for a better haircut - in my opinion, some side swept bangs would suit her face shape much more!

In her latest movie “Penelope“, Christina Ricci plays the role of Penelope Wilhern, a rich girl that was born with a pig’s nose because of a family curse.

Here’s what Christina said about her Penelope role:

“It took about an hour-and-a-half to put the prosthetic on. Then I’d go over to regular hair and make-up to get normal beauty make-up put on over that.”

Christina Ricci talked about her teenage struggle with anorexia, which stopped her enjoying her fame. Growing up in Hollywood, the 27-year-old actress felt pressured to conform to the Hollywood ideal of perfection and this struggle made her very unhappy.

“I was a teenager going through adolescence and at one point, I had a little anorexia phase and then I kind of ballooned. At premieres I was too busy thinking about my skin or my weight or the clothes I was wearing instead of just enjoying it and saying, ‘I can’t believe I get to be here. This is awesome and I’m going to experience it’.” [Source]

Christina says that she has finally learned to be comfortable with her body and that she has learned not to obsess about her looks anymore.

Christina Ricci has always had some weight issues (she was either too chubby or too skinny), but I always loved her as an actress.
Here she is at her newest film “Black Snake Moan” party at Sundance Festival.
Right now she seems to be on the skinny side again (I can’t tell for sure because of her outfit), I just hope she’s ok…
