Bethenny Frankel and Kelly Bensimon at war with each other

Bethenny Frankel at Fashion Week

When Bethenny Frankel isn’t working tirelessly to make everyone in America as skinny as she is, she’s busy putting the hurt on Kelly Bensimon. I watch “The Real Housewives of New York” irregularly but I did manage to catch the now infamous episode where the two twiggy New York socialites go at it high school style in a Manhattan bar.

Bethenny’s take:

On the feud: “The really funny thing is that she thinks that I’m the one who looked like a lunatic last night!” marvels Bethenny. “She believes that [her former employer] Page Six Magazine, which doesn’t exist anymore, is the Washington Post. It’s not like we’re dealing with someone who has a full deck of cards. Ramona said it best when she said it’s like she doesn’t have a brain. She’s the scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz.

What Kelly thinks:

On Bethenny’s complaint that she acts like she doesn’t know her: “I don’t know her,” says Kelly. “It’s not a negative thing, it’s a question of reality. She adds: “If she feels badly that I’m not acknowledging her, she could say, ‘You didn’t say hi to me.’” In fact, Kelly says, “Ask any person that knows me and they’ll say, ‘Oh my God, Kelly goes out of her way to remember people.’ I’m nice to every single person all the time. I like people!” [Source]

I may have written some snarky things about Frankel over the last few weeks but I have her back this time. Bensimon is a nightmare pseudo-somebody who really needs to get over herself. At least Frankel contributes something to society.

Bethenny Frankel says she can make anyone skinny even Oprah

Oprah gains weight

Bethenny Frankel is so sure her new book is the best thing since sliced, sprouted grain, gluten free bread, she’s claiming that even Oprah could benefit from reading it. Hear that? Even OPRAH, the woman who has lost weight on every diet ever, can lose weight by reading Frankel’s earth shattering new diet book. But can she keep it off? That’s the question. Frankel claims to understand the diet roller coaster and had this to say about her own past weight frustrations:

“I know how much my friends and I struggled. All I talked about was what I ate and I worked out all the time.  I don’t even work out that much - maybe two days a week if I can.  Women in America are going to be thinner because of this book,” she says. Even Oprah Winfrey — who recently admitted she weighed 200 pounds recently “is going to be thinner.  Nobody needs to freak out anymore.”

Yay! We don’t need to “freak out anymore.” That’s awesome. Too bad I just spent an hour on the treadmill. Wish I could get that time back.

Frankel does reveal that she hasn’t always been as slender as she is now.  “Being skinny didn’t come easy for me,” said continued.  “I was on every single diet and grew up in a life of diet obsession and food noise. But now I’ve freed myself, and I can worry about other things.” [Source]

I would like to turn off all that food noise but from what I’ve read, Frankel’s advice sounds a lot like Weight Watchers: practice portion control, eat until your “satisfied,” and don’t make anything a forbidden food. I think I’ll save my money. Oprah, on the other hand, has money to burn so she might want to check it out.

Real Housewife of New York Bethenny Frankel releases skinny book

Bethenny Frankel at movie premier

Scary-Skinny housewife/natural-foods whiz Bethenny Frankel wants everyone to look like her. The Real Housewives of New York star just launched her new book and I’m sure she’s hoping that millions of women will at least try to stick to her plan. Doesn’t look like she’s offering a money back guarantee if they don’t.

Bravo’s Real Housewife of NYC Bethenny Frankel was spotted signing her new New York Times best-selling book Naturally Thin: Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting at Fred Segal Fun in Santa Monica on March 14. None other than the Patti Stanger, the Millionaire Matchmaker, stopped by to support her. [Source]

I will admit that this woman scares the hell out of me but I’m curious about her book. I don’t necessarily EVER want to look like Bethenny but I’m thinking the weight-loss tome might include some decent recipes.
