Hugh Hefner wants the Olsen twins to pose for Playboy.

The 81-year-old men’s magazine mogul - who originally asked the twins to model for him when they turned 18 three years ago - but was turned down - hopes the girls will accept his invitation to appear in a special June edition of his adult publication to mark their 22nd birthday.

A source said: “Hugh thinks the twins are every young man’s fantasy. But it might not be that easy getting them agree to pose for Playboy. They’re all about high-end fashion these days. They want to do Vogue.” [Showbiz Spy]

The Hef also wants Lindsay Lohan to appear naked in his magazine, recreating Marilyn Monroe’s famous naked swim from her “Something’s Got to Give” movie. Convincing Lindsay to strip naked again should be no problem (she’s probably dying to pose for Playboy!), but I hope he’s well aware that the Olsen twins will never do that!

Star Magazine’s latest issue has the Olsen twins on its cover, with a big title that reads “Mary-Kate and Ashley’s weird world: TWISTED SISTERS!“.

Their bodyguard supposedly spoke out about their hookups with strangers, bad breath & dirty hair, and why Ashley can’t stand Mary-Kate.

Star must have really ran out of sensational subjects to write about, to put this on the cover!

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen attended the Seventh on Sale Gala (hosted by Anna Wintour) on Thursday, November 15. (Seventh on Sale is the world’s largest sample sale. Scores of fashion brands donated thousands of items to be sold through December 7 on 7thonsale.ebay.com. 100% of the money raised goes to services and housing for those living with HIV and AIDS.)

Both Ashley and MK wore white dresses: Ashley wore a long Calvin Klein gown, while Mary-Kate wore a Giambattista Valli frock and shoes. They both looked lovely!

Ashley Olsen is on the cover of the September 2007 issue of Marie Claire magazine.

In the interview, Ashley talks about fashion (of course!), about her daily life and about her relationship with her twin sister Mary-Kate (she also addresses Mary-Kate’s eating disorder).

On Mary-Kate’s eating disorder:

“That situation was more about how destructive the media can be to a person emotionally, to their identity, their public persona,” Ashley says. “It’s really sick.”

On their twin connection:

“I know when she’s hurting, I know when she’s going through something, I know when she’s happy — whether I”m with her or not, I know. We both carry the weight of each other. When she’s doing really well, maybe I’m not doing so well. It’s weird that we’re never at the same place — we just kind of balance each other out.”

On her daily life:

“I live a very normal life — I have friends; I’ve always gone to school. The part that’s not normal is that I’ve been working since I was 9 months old, but at the same time, it’s completely normal to me,” Ashley tells me over a plate of raw vegetables and hummus and a bowl of popcorn drizzled with truffle oil. “I used to struggle with it more because I used to take things more personally. When I was kind of 16 to 18, I couldn’t get out of the weeklies. When I came to [NYU], it was really tough for the first couple of months because I couldn’t show up to some classes, because there’d be paparazzi outside.” [Source]

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen turned 21 on Wednesday (June 13). The twins celebrated their birthday with a low-key dinner party at the Chateau Marmont together with their other sister Lizzie and brother Trent, and a few close friends.

“It looked like a family dinner,” an onlooker tells PEOPLE, “You could tell they were all really close. The girls couldn’t stop smiling.”A little after 11 p.m., two red velvet cakes – one covered in white frosting and the other in black – were brought out as the table burst into “Happy Birthday.” Their friends cheered as the girls closed their eyes and blew out the candles.

Soon after the cake was cut, another treat arrived: To the delight of the guests, boxes of cupcakes were served between the tea lights and petite vases of cut pink and white flowers dotting the table. [Source]

Today, for the first time in a looooong time, we’re taking a day off - doing absolutely nothing and looking forward to every second of it!

Here are the Olsen twins at the 2007/8 Chanel Cruise Show on May 18. Mary-Kate wore an interesting long black gown, while Ashley chose a more androgynous look, wearing a white shirt and a black jacket and miniskirt. I think they both look lovely (and they’re smiling again!).

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are rumored to appear in the next James Bond movie. If that’s true, they will become the first ever Bond girl twins.

The flick has a working title of Bond 22 and will take up where Casino Royale left off.

It’s rumoured that the twins are being wooed with a clause in their contracts saying they won’t have to strip off or indulge in any sex scenes. So their appearance is unlikely to leave anyone shaken and stirred.

If they accept the offer it’s thought they’ll play good characters who help Bond with his mission. [Source]
