Last week’s Star magazine had Angelina Jolie on the cover looking extremely emaciated and announcing that she weighs 98 lbs and that she collapsed.

I think that picture is photoshopped a little… I know that Angelina is very skinny, but her arms look definitely fake in that photo!

Here’s a small excerpt of the Star magazine article:

“Angelina Jolie’s weight has taken a frightening plunge into the dangerous double digits - and sources tell Star her lovemate Brad Pitt is beside himself with worry. Insiders reveal that the 32-year-old actress has been so weak and exhausted at times, she has actually collapsed! And Brad is urging her to undergo a battery of medical tests, sources say.

‘Angie has been having hot flashes where she feels dizzy and very shaky,’ says a friend of the couple. ‘This is a serious situation. They need to find out what’s going on.’

At 5′7″, a healthy Angelina should weigh around 130 pounds. But weight-loss expert Stacy Title, M.D. (who does not treat the actress), says she looks like she’s down to a shocking 98 pounds!

Angelina appeared so skeletal at the June 13 NYC premiere of her new film, A Mighty Heart, that eyewitnesses were stunned when they saw her on the red carpet. The bones in her back and her shoulder blades poked out painfully, and her arms were virtual twigs. ‘She looked fragile and beaten down,’ an onlooker tells Star. ‘She was a little wobbly. As soon as she got in the theater she sat down - and they only stayed for half of the film.’”

Angelina Jolie finally opens up about her dramatic weight loss over the last few months. She says that the reason she’s been shedding pounds is because she’s been grieving over the death of her mother who died in January. Here’s what she confessed at the New York premiere of her new film ‘A Mighty Heart’ on June 13:

“I’ve always been lean and this year I lost my mom and I’ve gone through a lot,” said the actress, who is currently in New York with boyfriend Brad Pitt, 43, and their children, Maddox, 5, Pax, 3, Zahara, 2, and one-year-old Shiloh.”I have four kids and I finished breastfeeding – it’s been hard to get my nutrition back on track.”

“Instead of people saying I look like a person dealing with something emotionally, they assume it’s because I want to fit into skinny jeans.”

She added, “Someone saying to me that I’m thin is not a compliment.” [Source]

Now that she finally admitted that she has a health problem, I hope she will take more care of herself, for the sake of her kids.

After telling the world that he is worried about Angelina Jolie’s dramatic weight loss, her brother James Haven now allegedly reveals why Angelina is so skinny: she doesn’t eat because she feels guilty about the starving people in Third World countries!

James told Closer magazine: “Angelina’s life changed after she visited Ethiopia. Whenever she’s there, there’s often no food for her and she goes without.”She’s become used to periods of very little or no food, so she has a much smaller appetite and a different attitude to eating because of it.” [Source]

He also says that it’s hard for Angelina to order freely when she goes to expensive restaurants, because she feels guilty about what she eats compared to the starving people that she wants to help.

I have learned not to trust tabloids long ago, so when reading this story, think about Britney Spears‘ sarcastic statement from two weeks ago: “believe everything you read”.

So… National Enquirer’s latest issue has a story about how Angelina Jolie has a “deadly disease“. They claim that she is “losing her hair”, suffers “uncontrollable shaking” and is diseased by blinding headaches.

Angelina’s recent dramatic weight loss and her emaciated and exhausted appearance at a charity news conference (the launch of Global Action for Children) on April 26 sparked off reports that she is seriously ill, with a potentially fatal “serious health problem”.

The reports have become more reliable and believable after Angelina’s brother James Haven has publicly stated that he is concerned about her shocking weight loss since giving birth to baby Shiloh last May, and losing her mother to cancer January this year.

Angelina Jolie is battling against a deadly disease, say medical experts, and Brad Pitt is desperately trying to save her, The Enquirer has learned.Angelina’s weight has plunged recently, and her appetitie is severely compromised, leaving her with a bony, sometimes skeletal appearance that has alarmed insiders.

She has suffered from shaking, headaches and hair loss, sources told The Enquirer. What’s more, doctors fear her life could be endangered if her weight continues to drop.

Angelina’s health crisis was set off by the death of her mother Marcheline Bertrand from ovarian cancer in January. The emotional toll of that even has caused the vulnerable actress to lose her appetite and she is said to be “forgetting” to eat.

This is even more ominous because Angelina has struggled with a deadly eating disorder in the past, and this recurrence has those close to her alarmed.

“I came very close to the end of my life a few times,” Angelina has admitted. “I think all the self-destruction comes from wanting to disappear.”

I know these pictures are not very clear, but you can definitely see how scarily thin her leg looks.

In a recent interview, James Haven Voight, Angelina Jolie’s brother, has expressed his concern regarding her dramatic weight loss after the death of their mother, Marcheline Bertrand, two months ago.

Angie has become very thin because she’s grieving. It’s even difficult for her to eat. I keep saying to her, ‘Don’t forget to eat’.
