In an attempt to finally kick her drug addiction, Amy Winehouse will go to rehab in Israel. The troubled singer will undergo a “very short, intensive and effective treatment” costing $12,800 within the next few weeks at the Barzilai Medical Center.

Eliezer Cohen, chairman of the Israel Anti-Drug Authority, claims the clinic agreed to treat the 24-year-old following a request from her management. He says, “They spoke to a renowned Israeli institution and an Israeli professor who conducts a very special and effective method. She has requested to come to him to do this method, since it’s a method that is suitable for her.”

Winehouse – who will receive 36 hours of treatment – will be treated by Andre Waismann, who promises success. He says, “All of my patients are discharged healthy and no longer dependent. There is a misunderstanding about drug addiction. People think it is a social and psychological problem, but it’s a neurological problem. Whether it’s Amy Winehouse or anyone else, it is a privilege to be able to treat anyone who is opiate-dependent, and allow them to live a normal life.”

It looks like all those drugs are starting to take their toll on Amy Winehouse‘s body. First it was her face that broke up with an infectious skin disease, and now her hair is starting to fall a lot (not to mention that she’s so scary skinny!). Over the weekend, Amy was caught without wearing her trademark 12-inches beehive and showing what it seems to be a bald spot.

I have to say she looks a little less scary without wearing that huge black hairpiece on her head! (Oh, and if you’re wondering what’s that silver thing on her head on the left picture, she was using a dye kit to bleach part of her fringe.)

Amy Winehouse has furiously denied the rumors that she’s cheating on her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil with her manager’s assistant, 24-year-old Alex Haynes. She insisted that she and Blake are going to be “together forever”.

On Monday (April 28, 2008), after a screaming fight with her father Mitch at her London home, Amy stepped outside her front door to set the record straight. She chatted with a photographer that was waiting outside, denying the rumors that she had split with her husband and attacking the media for spreading “lies after lies after lies”.

The snapper says, “Her father arrives, goes into her house and gives her a massive bollocking. You could just hear screaming and shouting inside. He was telling her, ‘You’ve got to f**king pull yourself together.’ We just heard swearing and shouting.” Mitch then left the building, and soon after some pals turned up at the troubled star’s home.

The photographer continues, “I ended up having a 10-minute conversation with her on the doorstep. She insisted she is not divorcing Blake. She’s totally in love with him. I said, ‘How are things?’ She said, ‘It’s beautiful. The summer’s come and I can’t wait to get my Blake back.’

“She said to me, ‘You’ve seen us together – and you know how much we’re in love with each other. We’re gonna be together forever. Can you tell the people at the papers to stop writing lies after lies after lies. We’re not splitting up, I don’t have a new boyfriend, I’m totally in love with Blake and I’ll be going to court with him every single day to support him throughout his case. I couldn’t be happier.’”

Rumours of a split have been rife for the last few months, after Winehouse‘s increasingly erratic behaviour caused her to miss, or turn up late to, a number of scheduled prison visits. Her fractured relationship with her in-laws has also put pressure on her marriage, with Fielder-Civil‘s mother, Georgette, telling all to a British tabloid about Winehouse‘s alleged drug problems in February (08).

Amy Winehouse was arrested by the British police on suspicion of assault yesterday (April 25). The singer is reported to have attacked two men while out drinking in a London pub in the early hours of Wednesday (April 23).

The 24-year-old soul diva, who recently entered rehab after years of erratic behavior and canceled concerts, arrived at a central London police station to answer questions relating to the alleged incident, her representatives said.

Police didn’t directly confirm that Winehouse was in custody, saying only that a 24-year-old woman was being held on suspicion of assault. British authorities don’t usually name suspects until they have been charged.

Winehouse didn’t say anything to assembled photographers and cameramen as she walked into the station late Friday afternoon. [USA Today]

Amy has reportedly cured her skin condition by using a very unusual (and expensive) face cream: caviar!

The singer purchased a number of jars of Royal Caspian Beluga caviar, which costs £395 per pot, after receiving expert advice from a Norwegian make-up artist.

Winehouse had previously been spotted with lumps on her face, but her skin has appeared to be back to normal in recent pictures.

A source told the Daily Star: “I saw the caviar in her fridge, but she told me to ‘Gerroff it’ as it’s to be used on her skin. A make-up artist in Norway told her it was a miracle cream, so she tried it. Now her face is back to its former glory.” [DigitalSpy]
