Jennifer Lopez pays bodacious tribute to Rita Moreno in West Side Story
West Side Story is heading back to Broadway and though Jennifer Lopez isn’t starring in the revival, she did star in a Vanity Fair tribute photo shoot recently, vamping it up as Rita Moreno in the classic movie musical. Lopez told interviewers that the movie was a huge influence on her as a young entertainer.
Jennifer Lopez said she has watched West Side Story 37 times and it inspired her to become a Fly girl, “I never wanted to be that wimpy Maria, who sits around pining for her guy. I wanted to be Anita, who danced her way to the top.”
Sounds to me like Lopez is itching to get back into the spotlight but apparently hubby Marc Anthony is begging for a few more wee ones first. Judging from her response, it doesn’t sound like the two lovebirds are on the same page.
