Kara DioGuardi keeps it real
I’m still trying to figure out how I feel about Kara DioGuardi and the extra seat that she’s forced the American Idol production staff to acquire for her this season. She tends to sort of just agree with Randy Jackson a lot—at least that’s what it felt like last night. But there’s no doubt the girl knows about the business and she’s perfectly happy doling out advice to wanna-be Idols both on the show and off. But when it comes the question of what an aspiring pop princess should weigh, her opinion is not entirely shocking.
“I’m looking for someone with a great voice, but if someone is fifty pounds overweight, I have to tell them the reality - that it might hold them back.”
