Lisa Marie Presley announces that she’s pregnant, not fat

Lisa Marie Presley has just announced that she’s pregnant with her third child (with her fourth husband, music producer Michael Lockwood).
Lisa was apparently hurt by the many comments calling her “fat and ugly” that were made on various websites and blogs (including this one, for which I apologize). Here’s what she wrote on her official MySpace page:
After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant.
You KNOW if you were pregnant and you felt you were expanding uncontrollably by the moment as a result, and the worldwide media started badgering and harassing you for it, plastering you everywhere in an unflattering light, you would be mortified as well. [OK!]
I feel sorry for calling her overweight and unattractive, and I understand her being upset at this kind of comments, but the photos were not “horribly manipulated” - she should accept the fact that this is what she’s looking like right now!
Anyway, I wish her a healthy pregnancy and the best of luck with her music career (she will release her third album later this year).

i agree with Lisa on being degraded by you and any of the other papers ! its like people just trying to make a buck? or what? on making people feel downgraded by photos when they are not at their best. what is being accomplished by the hurting words and photos?
its really sad to know this is the kind of world we are living in today.
