Joss Stone is the new Cadbury “Flake Girl“, appearing in a new series of ads for the chocolate bar.
The famous advertisements have only featured models until now; Joss is the first ever celebrity to promote the Flake chocolate. Here’s what the 20-year-old singer had to say about her new role:
“Well, I think they wanted someone normal - not a model who blatantly doesn’t eat Flakes.
I blatantly do - and on a regular basis. I love chocolate.” [Contact Music]
Joss also believes that her collaboration with Cadbury is destiny, saying that she had a dream about the chocolate giant six months before she received their call.

British soul star Joss Stone has proved she’s happy to be labelled flakey - by becoming the new face of the Cadbury’s Flake commercials. The singer is the first celebrity to have been signed up to promote the chocolate bar and adverts will be employing her vocal talents too. Stone is seen sitting at a table, in what looks like an old-fashioned recording studio, unwrapping a Flake bar and eating it seductively - while her interpretation of the famous ad jingle plays over the top. The advert will air in the U.K. for the first time on Wednesday night (05Mar08).
